Miss Katie

Ms. Katie has been dancing since the age of 5. She has trained in numerous dance styles with ballet, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop being her favorites. After she finished her studio dance training, she danced on the University of WI-Oshkosh dance team for 3 years where she was co-captain. Ms. Katie began teaching dance in 2003 and has coached competitive teams since 2005. She continues her dance education by attending conventions and workshops throughout the Midwest. She feels extremely blessed to be the owner of Encore Dance Academy where she can share her passion with dancers of all ages across all genres of dance. Ms. Katie wants to remind her students to always give their best because practice makes permanent. Dancing outside of your comfort zone is where the magic happens!

 
   

Miss Carissa

Ms. Carissa began dancing at the age of 4. In 2003, she began as an assistant teacher. By 2008, she started teaching classes and was coaching her first competitive teams by 2009. Ms. Carissa's areas of expertise include tap, lyrical, and hip hop. She loves the art of dance and has always wanted to share it with everyone. She hopes they find dancing fun, entertaining, and beautiful. Ms. Carissa wishes for everyone to enjoy it as much as she does! We have been blessed to have her teaching at the studio since the day we opened.

 
   

Miss Jody

Ms. Jody has 14 years of studio dance and competition experience in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, poms, and hip hop. She is an Encore Dance Academy alumnus. After she graduated, Ms. Jody went on to UW-Eau Claire where she earned her dance minor with extensive training in modern, ballet technique, and dynamic alignment. She has been teaching at the studio since 2017 and is always excited to help her dancers grow in their technique and give them the opportunity to experience dance as a doorway to physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

 
   

Miss Laney

Ms. Laney began dancing when she was 5 years old. She is an Encore alumnus and danced competitively with us for 10 years. She has trained in the styles of jazz, pom, kick, hip hop and tap and has been a part of many production numbers. Ms. Laney has won various awards over the years with her teams as well with her solos/duets/trios. She began teaching at the studio in 2020. Her favorite dance quote is “When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.”

 
   

Miss Kendra

Ms. Kendra started dancing at age 3. She began competing in almost every style of dance by the age of 10 where she immediately fell in love with the sport. Her favorite styles are contemporary, lyrical, and jazz. Ms. Kendra believes one of the great things about dancing is that you get to meet a lot of people who eventually turn into lifelong friends. She loves sharing her passion for dance with others and has been doing so at Encore as an instructor since 2020.

 
   

Miss Jenna

Ms. Jenna began dancing at the age of 2. She has been a part of the Encore Dance Academy family since the day we opened and began assisting classes in 2015. She has trained in many styles such as ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap to name a few. Ms. Jenna was a competitive dancer for many years performing solos as well as group routines. Her advice to dancers is to remember that attitude, hard work, and dedication is more important to making a good dancer than technique and winning trophies. She has been teaching at Encore since 2021.

 
   

Miss Adriana

Ms. Adriana is an Encore alumnus who has been with the studio since the day we opened. She began her training in jazz at the age of 5 then added multiple styles including ballet, lyrical, hip hop, tap, contemporary, pom and kick. For 10 years, she competed with the studio in many group routines as well as solo and duet pieces. Ms. Adriana was a teaching assistant for 4 years which is when she developed her passion for sharing the art of dance and encouraging growth in the next generation of dancers. She has been teaching at Encore since 2022.

 
   

Miss Katelyn

Ms. Katelyn began dancing when she was 6 years old. She studied mainly ballet, jazz, lyrical and hip hop. She dedicated 9 years to competition dance doing a variety of solos, duets, groups, and productions. She is an Encore alumnus and began assisting in younger classes in 2014. Ms. Katelyn graduated college with a degree in education and is currently a 6th grade teacher. She is thrilled to share her love for learning through dance and enjoys watching her students grow!

 
   

Miss Brooke

Ms. Brooke began dancing at a young age. She took classes and competed with Encore starting in 2010 for many years before moving onto her high school dance team. She has trained in numerous styles including pom, kick, jazz, tap, and Irish. While on her high school dance team, she was a captain and assisted with choreographing many routines. After graduating college, Ms. Brooke realized she wanted to continue to have dance as a part of her life and wanted to share her passion with others. She would like to remind dancers that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing!
