Miss Katie

Miss Katie has been dancing since the age of 5. She has trained in the areas of jazz, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, and pom. She danced on the University of WI-Oshkosh dance team for 3 years where she was co-captain her junior year. Miss Katie began teaching dance in 2003 and has coached competitive teams since 2005. She continues her dance education by attending conventions and workshops throughout the Midwest. She feels extremely blessed to be the owner of Encore Dance Academy where she can share her passion with dancers of all ages across all genres of dance. Miss Katie wants to remind her students to always give their best because practice makes permanent. Dancing outside of your comfort zone is where the magic happens!


Miss Carissa

Miss Carissa began dancing at the age of 4. In 2003, she began as an assistant teacher. By 2008, she started teaching classes and was coaching her first competitive teams by 2009. Miss Carissa's areas of expertise include tap, lyrical, and hip hop. She loves the art of dance and has always wanted to share it with everyone. She hopes they find dancing fun, entertaining, and beautiful. Miss Carissa wishes for everyone to enjoy it as much as she does!


Miss Baily

Miss Baily began dancing at the age of 12. She started off with a variety of styles such as jazz, lyrical, and modern. She quickly discovered hip hop was the genre of dance she excelled at the most. Miss Baily competed many hip hop routines over the years and earned many achievements. She has been with the Encore dance family since the studio first opened and was an assistant teacher her last year. Miss Baily is eager to be able to teach dancers not only technique and routines but confidence, teamwork, and passion as well.


Miss Becca

Miss Becca has been dancing since the age of 5. She has the most experience in tap but has also trained in jazz, pom, and Irish. Miss Becca dedicated 9 years to competition dance doing a variety of solos, duets, groups and productions. She has been a part of the Encore Dance Academy family since the day it opened and began assisting classes in 2012. She was on her varsity dance team, danced in the musical theatre department throughout her high school career and continued her dance education at UW-Green Bay. Miss Becca feels blessed to have had the experience of traveling and studying around the states and hopes to share her love of performing.


Miss Jody

Miss Jody has 14 years of studio dance and competition experience in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, poms, and hip hop. She is an Encore Dance Academy alumnus. After she graduated, Miss Jody went on to UW-Eau Claire where she earned her dance minor with extensive training in modern, ballet technique, and dynamic alignment. She is excited to help her dancers grow in their technique and give them the opportunity to experience dance as a doorway to physical, mental, and emotional well-being.


Miss Laney

Miss Laney began dancing when she was 5 years old. She is an Encore alumnus and danced competitively with us for 10 years. She has trained in the styles of jazz, pom, kick, hip hop and tap and has been a part of many production numbers. Miss Laney has won various awards over the years with her teams as well with her solos/duets/trios. Her favorite dance quote is “When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.”


Miss Kendra

Miss Kendra started dancing at age 3. She began heavily competing in almost every style of dance at the age of 10 where she immediately fell in love with the sport. Her favorite styles are cotemporary, lyrical and jazz. Miss Kendra believes one of the great things about dancing is that you get to meet a lot of people who eventually turn into lifelong friends. She loves sharing her passion for dance with others and is continuing her education with a minor in dance.


Miss Katie W.

Miss Katie W. has studied in the areas of jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, pom, and hip-hop. She was on her high school dance team for 2 years and was an all-state soloist both of those years. She has many years of studio competition experience as well with both solo and group routines. Miss Katie W. was a member of the Midwest Dance Collective which is a pre-professional company in the Chicago-area and graduated from Colombia College in Chicago with a degree in dance. She advises dancers to be motivated by their own passion to improve and not compare themselves to other dancers.
